Pretty much everything has sucked ever since McLouth’s home run in game 5 was declared a foul ball (it hit the foul pole and changed directions, it was FAIR, damn it!)
But no, seriously. After that came the depression of the offseason, then my grandpa died, then my horrible janterm, then the start of this fucking semester from hell, and pretty much my life has just been in one miserable downward spiral of a black hole.
If there’s any hope of a light at the end of this tunnel, I really hope it can make itself known and soon. Because I really don’t know how much more of this shit I can take before I just snap and completely lose it and become nothing more than a faint echo of what I once was.And yes, I know my life was shit long before that, but baseball is 162 games of stability that is always there for me no matter win or lose, and I am unhealthily emotionally invested whether I like it or not. Last season just got me on an emotional high so now the fall down just builds up more momentum and will hurt even more in the end.
((Did I mention how terrified I am of falling?))
